Tender description
This contract is for the supply of 12 Top and 6 Bottom traditionally hand-carved replacement Portland stone Capitols. All replacement stones are to be in Portland Stone, hand-carved in accordance with Architectural Specification and best conservation principles. All carving to be documented as per Architectural Specification. The Portland stone for carving has already been purchased by the OPW and will be provided Free-Issue to the contractor. The Contractor will be responsible for the collection & transportation of the stone to their designated place of work from the OPW BMS Depot, Dublin 8. All carving to take place at the contractor’s designated place of work. Completed Capitols are to be delivered to the OPW BMS Depot, Dublin 8. The Contractor is responsible for the works until completed Capitols and associated documentation are handed-over to the OPW.
