Summary of the work BEIS is seeking a Agile Product and Delivery Coach on a flexible basis to support delivery of services that adhere to Government Digital Standards. There is no commitment to a minimum spend over the term of the contract. Specialist role Agile coach Expected Contract Length 24 months, with the option of a 12-month extension Latest start date Friday 1 April 2022 Who Speclialist Work With The supplier will be working with project teams in BEIS. This may comprise of Delivery and Product Managers, Business Analysts, Service Designers, User Researchers and Development Teams. There may be other resources, both FTE and other suppliers. The supplier will also be expected to engage with other stakeholders in BEIS Digital i.e. the Security and Architecture teams if and when required. What Specialists Work On Work to be detailed on a Statement of Work basis Skills & Experience • At least 2 years experience delivering internal and public facing services according to the GDS service standard and Technology Code of Practice. • At least 5 years experience of coaching multi-vendor, multi disciplinary teams • Experience of user centered design tools and techniques • Experience of delivering funding services for government • Proven experience delivering Power Platform services for Government • Experience of coaching delivery teams through service assessments • Experience of delivering services in Gov PaaS and Azure • Experience of delivering services that meet the needs of under-represented groups • Certified Agile Coach • Certified Scrum Master and Product Owner • SC Cleared Work Location Though the supplier will be working remotely, there will be a need to travel to the 1 Victoria Street HQ in London or other government offices when required. This may change depending on Government guidance. Travel expenses will not be reimbursed. Working Arrangments The supplier will be expected to be available during the typical working hours of policy teams (Monday to Friday 9am-5pm) in order to maximise collaboration and knowledge transfer. Microsoft Teams, JIRA, Azure DevOps, Mural, Microsoft Whiteboard and Office 365 will be used for collaboration. Can you clarify what you mean by this please? i.e how many hours a week, or days a month, are you expecting to require someone? In the problems to be solved you mentioned “delivery of outcomes based on user needs” – can the Authority confirm if this is in fact digital transformation delivering defined outcomes/milestones (which will be made known in Stage 2), or if this resource capacity delivering under T&M SoW call offs? The work will be detailed on a Statement of Work basis 14. Our consultant has not yet completed the Covid vaccination program due to a conflicting health issue which should be resolved over the next few months Is Remote working possible during this period? The requirement will be for ‘hybrid working’, working in BEIS offices and remotely as needed. 15. Is there an existing supplier providing a coach? No, this is a new requirement. 16. As regards, “Certified Agile Coach”, what certifications would be acceptable? The requirement is or a certified Agile Coach and certified Scrum Master and Product Owner 17. Is it acceptable for the specialist to have past SC Clearance (that has expired) ? No. The requirement is for valid and current SC clearance to be in place. 18.
