Tender description

The provision for the probation health trainer service to deliver a health trainers service to offenders on community orders or license across both Local Authority populations (within Leicester and Leicestershire). A probation health trainers service has been running locally since 2013. Health Trainers services support adults who wish to make a change towards a healthier lifestyle but who are unlikely to make and maintain this without individual support. Probation Health Trainers are generally ex-offenders and all health trainers must have successfully completed the nationally accredited Health Trainer training and have been assessed as competent to undertake the Health Trainer role by completing this training. They work with clients (service users) on a one-to-one basis, to assess their health and lifestyle risks and support them in their decision to make and sustain behavioural change to a healthier lifestyle.
