Programme Consultancy for Digital Services for Patients and the Public (DSPP)

Tender description

A key objective of the healthier Wales Strategy is the development of digitalised patient facing services (DPS). The Welsh Government allocated funding within the Digital Priorities fund to expedite the delivery of these services and ensure that they are delivered consistently to all patients wherever they are receiving services across NHS Wales and has asked NWIS, the predecessor of DHCW to lead the programme delivery team. Given the key strategic objectives of the programme and the imperative to move forward at pace, DHCW appointed external consultants to develop a Business Plan and undertake initial set up tasks for this new Programme. The contract is intended to build upon these initial tasks to ensure that activities progress in accordance with the high level Programme Plan and that the key objectives set out in the Plan can be met, in parallel recruitment activities would be undertaken, to establish an in-house team. Lot 1: DHCW is seeking to increase the value of the contract to enable external resources to be secured to ensure progress can continue in the planning, development and launch of the NHS Wales app,while a competitive procurement is undertaken.
