Consultancy services relating to the design and implementation of SME Energy Champion (Phase 2), an initiative to support SMEs in the Cork Region to manage their energy use and cost.

Tender description

Energy Champion CLG intends to develop a Phase 2 of their SME Energy Champion initiative. Phase 1 of the initiative was previously implemented, on a pilot basis, in 2021 with 12 participating businesses. The initiative will support Small and Medium Enterprises in Cork City and County in understanding and managing their energy use and energy costs, as well as improving the environmental sustainability of their businesses. The output of this commission should be a well-defined and actionable structure and methodology for expanding the SME Energy Champion initiative to up to 100 additional SMEs. This should be based on international best practice (where available) for such initiatives, a clear understanding of the needs of SME owners and managers, as well as lessons learned from Phase 1. The commission should also see the sustainable recruitment of these participants.
