WO0499 - Streetscene and Grounds Maintenance

Tender description

The contractor shall be responsible for the provision of the Streetscene Service within the county of Wiltshire. The full services are detailed in the attached specification, covering the quantities stated in the Appendices. The contractor shall ensure that adequate resources, plant, and equipment are made available to ensure the delivery of this service to the requirements specified in the attached specification. The initial contract term is five years with an option to extend for a further five years. The Council has an annual budget of £4,997,440 excluding depot costs. This is before any service delegation that may occur before or after the commencement of this contract. (The Bradford-on Avon, Trowbridge and play areas for service delegation are contained in this annual figure.) The service comprises the following elements: Street Cleansing Comprising: • Street cleansing and road clearance. • Empty litter bins. • Clearance of fly tips. • Cleansing of car parks. • Clearance of dead animals (roadkill). • Cleansing at special events. • Litter clearance. • Dog faeces removal. Grounds Maintenance Comprising: • Grass cutting, both urban and rural. • Hedge/shrub maintenance/sheltered belts. • Highway verge and amenity maintenance, including churchyards. • Litter clearance pre-cutting. • Dog faeces removal pre-cutting. • Burials Supporting Services:  Election's material delivery  Markets pre and post arrangements  Chapel cleaning
