Request for Proposal for Environmental and Consumer Protection Eat Safe ratings

<p>The Government of Jersey, Environmental and Consumer Protection Team (ECP), within the Regulation Directorate are responsible for undertaking proactive food hygiene inspections. The results of these inspections are categorised according to risk to the public. They take into account; Confidence in Management, Structural standards and Procedural standards. Covid-19 impacted on the ECP team&rsquo;s ability to undertake inspections. This created a backlog of required inspections that the team are unable to reduce due to continuing requirement for new inspections. This has a direct impact on the food hygiene and safety standards within food businesses. We are therefore looking for focused effort to undertake inspections, provide reports to the food business owner / manager, score accordingly to facilitate an Eat Safe rating and provide a copy of this score and business report to ECP. ECP will then enter the information into the database for the result to be published on gov.je/eatsafe. The project is for a qualified and experienced food hygiene and safety EHRB registered Environmental Health Officer to undertake the food hygiene and safety inspections. Each inspection will be singular in nature, with no revisits. The closing date for this RFP is 12noon Monday 7th March 2022.</p> Keywords: Food safety
