Tender description
This RFT is for the provision of Facilitation services for the National Stakeholder Forum on the Sustainable Development Goals. In order to achieve the objectives and overarching strategy within Ireland recently published 2nd National Implementation Plan, it has been decided to hold an SDG Stakeholder Forum, as part of the dialogue process. These Fora play a key role in informing policy, ensuring coherence and promoting the goals. This year’s theme is the concept of Leave No One Behind and what it means in an Irish context, capturing learnings and next steps. The aim of the Stakeholder Forum is to: • Act as a key mechanism for discussing national implementation and for sharing learnings, examples of best practice and SDG relevant events from both a national and international perspective. Target Audience The participants will be made up from a broad range of stakeholders across government and society and include: • Senior Political leaders and national and local politicians including for example the Minister for the Environment, other Government Ministers, TD’s, councillors • Government Department officials and Local Government Authorities officials (City and County Councils, Regional Assemblies) • State agencies and bodies • National organisations • Representative bodies (industry and other interest groups) • INGO/NGOs and Voluntary organisations, e.g. UNICEF, Coalition 2030 • Community, local and voluntary groups • Youth Assembly • Representatives of vulnerable and hard to reach populations. Format The proposed format will be a hybrid event built around an opening plenary session, followed by break out deliberative on-line and in person workshops and closing with a final plenary session. A new SDG Stakeholder Forum Committee (SFC) has recently been appointed and the agenda and format for the Forum meetings will be developed in collaboration with them. The Plenary session will be live streamed and recorded.
