To deliver the Showcase Festival element of the Songfest Project

The expected outputs for the Songfest Showcase Festival are as follows: • To programme and produce a 5-day long weekend traditional song festival in Derry/Londonderry and County Donegal featuring a significant number of the leading traditional singers and major recording artists from Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales on behalf of Regional Cultural Centre Letterkenny. • The 5-day Songfest Showcase Festival will comprise of: o A 2-day academic conference comprising of four key papers / illustrated talks / panel discussions each day, prepared and delivered by some of the leading practitioners in Ireland and the UK. o A series of Lunchtime Concerts at An Culturlann, Derry/Londonderry on July 18th and 19th, each featuring a host of major performers, o A programme of daytime and evening talks and concerts at Regional Cultural Centre Letterkenny, o Showcase performances for the Songfest Educational Projects, o The Songfest Showcase Festival will feature a minimum of 15 key performers / speakers overall who will participate in the conference, performances and workshops. o The indicative budget must cover all costs associated with the Songfest Showcase Festival including artists fees, travel, accommodation, per diems, production costs, administration costs etc. o A robust evaluation to be undertaken reporting on both the outputs and impacts of delivering this project.
