The repair of commercial and domestic laundry appliances

Tender description

The contract is for the repair of commercial and domestic laundry equipment installed within approximately 50 properties belonging to the London Borough of Hillingdon and located within the geographical area of the Borough. On average two such repairs, often of a minor nature, are required each and every week. The contract will also include provision for the repair of other white goods installed within these properties such as fridges, fridge freezers, cookers, ovens, dishwashers and microwave ovens. On average one such repair is required each and every month. The successful organisation will be also be invited to supply and install new replacement appliances where the existing equipment is considered to be beyond economical repair though the Council reserves the right at all times to seek alternative prices from other suppliers. These services must be carried out in accordance with all relevant Health and Safety Regulations and with consideration for residents, visitors, Council employees and the general public at all times. These services may be made available to schools, private residences and other locations at the direction of the Council. The Council intends to award a three year contract for these services. It does not commit, however, to requiring any level of services.
