Background Translink is the brand name for the public transport operating companies in Northern Ireland. These include the companies of Ulsterbus, Metro, Northern Ireland Railways and NITHC. Scope: Supply and/or Supply & Installation of VMS Units The aim of this tender exercise is to appoint a suitably qualified Economic Operator to Supply /Supply and install 15 off Vehicle Management Systems (VMS) for Translink Light Commercial Vehicles. The current fleet consists of Renault Kangoo / Traffic and Master vans. Any proposed VMS must be able to report into current web based system or alternatively export to Microsoft Excel and also be capable of capturing the following information Vehicle Tracking Location of vehicle (historic and latest) Vehicle trips Vehicle stops Vehicle Management Current fuel and odometer status Fuel fills and deviations Fleet summary Vehicle Performance Fuel economy RPM Harsh braking Speeding Idling Type and Contract Period Any contract resulting from this tender exercise will be on a Fixed Cost basis subject to Translinks Standard Terms and Conditions for the Supply of Services available at www.translink.co.uk/corporate Translink anticipate this contract to run for a period of 12 months with three further annual extension options of VMS units for between 10 and 20 vehicles each year.
