Supply of Uniforms for Students in the Faculty of Life & Health Sciences

The University of Ulster’s Faculty of Life and Health Sciences currently awards a number of degrees, diplomas and certificates in various aspects of Nursing, Health Sciences and Biomedical Sciences. During the course of studying for these qualifications, students are required to undertake periods of clinical practice based in hospital, laboratory and community environments. Hence, it is important that they are dressed appropriately. At the commencement of their studies, each student must purchase one tunic, one pair of trousers and one jacket. They will be advised to purchase a further tunic and trousers as the need arises, however, this will be a minimum requirement. They will be free to purchase a higher number of garments if they so choose. Dietetic students will purchase their uniforms at the beginning of Year 3. This will be a minimum of 2 tunics and 2 trousers. Health Sciences students are required to purchase a minimum of two tunics and two pair of trousers with the option to purchase additional items. Radiography students are required to purchase a minimum of three tunics and two pairs of trousers. Tenders are therefore invited for the supply of uniforms for these students. Whilst the University will award, operate and monitor this contract, all arrangements for the supply of uniforms will be between the students and the successful bidder(s).
