SHSCT - CAH ~ Removal of asbestos floor tiles and provision of new sheet vinyl

Tender description

The SHSCT are seeking to appoint a design team to design and contract administer Replacement flooring works including the phased removal and replacement of asbestos containing vinyl floor tiles with new vinyl sheet flooring associated skirting and wall redecoration works The works will be carried out in a live, healthcare environment, and the works must be designed and phased as necessary to minimise disruption to the service. The works are to be completed and handed over on or before Friday 25th March 2016 The SHSCT confirm that the following consultants will be required to form part of the design team; Lead Consultant, Architect or Building Surveyor, Structural Engineer, Quantity Surveyor & CDM Coordinator/Principal Designer . Schedules of duties for these consultants will be included in the Invitation to Tender (ITT). It is anticipated the lead consultant and CDM Coordinator/Principal Designer will be an Architect or Building Surveyor. The contract period (for consultancy services) is 8 months, August 2015 – March 2016, (additional inspection/certification services required within defects liability period)
