Tender description
Rapid7 unites cloud risk management and threat detection to deliver results that secure LBE’s business and ensures the organisation is ready for all relating cyber threats. It helps reduce LBE’s attack surface and eliminate threats with zero tradeoffs. Key Benefits: • Vulnerability validation and prioritisation • Freed up resources – the supplier’s Managed Vulnerability Management team can handle the configuration, scanning, and reporting on behalf of LBE • Measurement of LBE’s program’s ROI - monitor the success of the LBE vulnerability management program with a metric-driven scorecard based on the organisation’s own program goals. • Reduction of Operational Overload • Regular Network Assessment • Targeted Scanning and Reporting • The current Rapid7 contract expires on 27/11/2022. Due to unavoidable circumstances and a change in the direction of travel in terms of how DS’ commercial arrangements are being managed, the team have been left with little of no time to competitively go out to market for the requirement. The referenced product is a cyber tool and due to the constraints of time a suitable replacement can neither be identified or implemented without leaving the council’s IT framework vulnerable to a cyber-attack. The current system has been secure over the last three years. The urgency to renew is based on the fact the arrangement is part of the council’s core IT infrastructure. A record of the requirement will be uploaded to LTP in line with the revised contract management procedures. Focus on reviewing internal procedures including the engagement process played a part in not being able to renew the contract in a timely manner. Moving forward this will ensure that the procurement process is conducted in line with the appropriate governance arrangement. Currently and for this renewal there is no alternative available to LBE other than to renew the arrangement with current supplier (Caretower). The product (and supplier) continue to meet all LBE's IT security requirements. The cost for the 2022/23 renewal is £170,587.00 Year Total cost 21-22 £143,605.00 22-23 £170,587.00 Keywords: Exception
