Our vision is to improve the health and well-being for people of all ages across the Black Country. BCPFT provides care and support for people of all ages who have mental health needs in Sandwell and Wolverhampton. We provide a range of specialist health services for people with learning disabilities in Dudley, Walsall, Sandwell and Wolverhampton. And we also provide community healthcare services for children, young people and families in Dudley. The contractor shall provide a non emergency patient transport service, for the planned transportation of patients with a medical need for transport from one location to another. Patient eligibility for transport will be determined by their medical condition, and as such they will require the skills and support of PTS staff and travelling by any other means may be detrimental to their condition or their recovery. The provision of PTS is part of an integrated programme of care, providing a professional, reliable service whilst demonstrating compassion and treating each patient with dignity and respect. A range of vehicles will be required to ensure the service can meet the needs of client groups with challenging behaviours and varying levels of care across the client groups. The core hours of service are Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm. Contract commencement date is expected to be 5th November 2015 for a three year period.
