Tender description

The Project is for the provision of: • Grounds Maintenance Services to existing hard and soft landscapes, including winter gritting and snow clearance generally within the curtilage of NHSCT’s properties. Winter gritting and snow clearance will require the provision of out-of-hours services within stated response times. The geographical area of the NHSCT’s properties (see http://www.northerntrust.hscni.net/images/Northern_Trust_map.jpg) has been sub-divided into six separate Areas based generally on the local government districts of: Lot 1 – Antrim (excluding Antrim Area Hospital) Lot 2 – Antrim Area Hospital Lot 3 – Ballymena and Larne Lot 4 – Ballymoney, Coleraine and Moyle Lot 5 – Carrickfergus and Newtownabbey Lot 6 – Magherafelt and Cookstown Each Economic Operator (Contractor) may price any or all of the six Areas’ Pricing Sections contained within the Invitation To Tender documentation and tenders will be analysed per individual Area basis as each Area’s Pricing Section will be regarded as a separate tender. • Contract period will initially run from 1 July 2011 to 30 June 2012 with an option (at the absolute discretion of the NHSCT) subject to satisfactory performance by the Economic Operator (Contractor) to extend the contract period by a further 12 month period on a maximum of 3 occasions ie a maximum of a 48 month contract.
