Tender description
AHDB currently source Foodservice data through MCA, the data monitors protein performance across the UK Foodservice industry. Access to this data allows AHDB to analyse the sector and the channels that make up Foodservice and monitor the performance of key sector-related products. The information is used by AHDB to inform the industry on the latest trends and look at potential implications for AHDB sector-related products. This information is then used at business meetings/presentations and also in the media in response to requests for market information/commentary. For this service contract, our core requirements would be – Total market expenditure, visits, servings, traffic share by channel and operators and by product type, as mentioned further below. All of the above information would need to be available by day part, day of week, social class and age/gender. AHDB core Foodservice data/reporting requirements Mandatory requirements Overall OOH market performance Visits, servings/occasions/packs, estimated spend,etc As part of this, we need to understand exactly how a supplier captures the market. This includes an explanation as to how data is collected and extrapolated, including an overview of the specific questions and formulas used to create key market performance figures. We also need to understand how these calculations may change under different market conditions, therefore if there has been a change to core methodology within the past three years, or if there is any planned changes to methodology during the contract period, this needs to be highlighted within the proposal. Ability to cut the data by Channels Daypart Cuisines/dish type Dish type Demographic (SEG, Age, Gender) With a further level of detail within the data above to identify occasions containing beef (incl veal), lamb, pork, chicken and potatoes Pork includes both primary and processed products (eg sausages, bacon, sausage rolls)
