ANDBC TENDER FOR THE PROVISION OF JOB FOCUSED ACADEMIES IN THE ARDS AND NORTH DOWN AREA

Ards and North Down Borough Council’s (ANDBC) Economic Development Service (EDS) delivers a range of employment and skills interventions which are informed by and are responsive to employer needs across the borough. Recently, Department for Communities (DfC) provided funding for the establishment of a local Labour Market Partnership (LMP) for which the Council provides the secretariat. The LMP is inviting suitable companies and/or organisations to submit proposals to deliver Job-Focused Academies for people residing in the Ards and North Down Borough Council area through specific support provided by a suitably qualified team. The aim of the academy is to encourage unemployed or underemployed people to obtain skills and qualifications for better employment opportunities. This Project will provide a flexible and responsive delivery intervention which is reflective of current market conditions, changing labour market dynamics, and will align to deliver maximum impact for AND and the wider economy.
