Award of Shared Services - Data Governance Training Support

The SSP programme team requires specialist Data Governance education and training to support key target audience groups, including: 1. SG Senior Leaders 2. Core SSP programme team 3. Functional Data Practitioners in HR, Finance and Procurement 4. HR & Finance Customer ‘Data Stewards’, ‘Data Owners’ and ‘Data Management Analysts’ 5. Members of the Data Maturity Program (local and central government) The curriculum should cover: Delivery of Data Governance Briefing to the Shared Services Programme Leadership team. Support the Programme Director in running an engagement session for the Leadership Team, providing them with an overview of what Data Governance is and the benefits of Data Governance to the Scottish Government. One Day Data Governance Team Building/Activation Day. In person facilitation of a day to build enthusiasm and inspire action for the Data Governance initiative. The agenda for the day to be agreed with the Programme Director and SSP Comms Lead. Monthly Data Governance Lunch and Learn Sessions. Run monthly sessions, available to the same audience invited to the Data Governance training delivered earlier in the year. Each session to be on a specific theme or topic. This will be agreed in advance with the Programme team and will cover areas including: • Dealing with challenging stakeholders • Creating effective communications and activity planners for Data Governance • Delivering data literacy training • Designing training for Data Owners and Data Stewards • How to draft good Data Definitions • How to measure Data Quality and write effective Data Quality rules Monthly Data Governance Coaching Sessions for the Programme Team. Monthly sessions for the Programme team to ask any questions they may have to validate their approach to Data Governance and to share any challenges and ask for advice on how to address them. For support of the Data Maturity Project, education and training on the following: • What is a Data Governance & Strategy • What is a Data Governance Framework • How to get started in a Data Governance Implementation • Essential soft skills in the world of Data Governance This would be 4 sessions running once, with attendees between 15 to 25 people per session. Additionally, sessions with the Data Maturity Project Team to help develop a maturity pathway for Data Governance.
