Avon & Somerset Sexual Assault and Abuse Therapies Services to NHS England (South West)

Tender description

NHS England sought to commission an integrated Sexual Assault and Abuse Therapies Service for individuals in Avon & Somerset. The Services procured through this tender process are healthcare services falling within Schedule 3 to the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 ('the Regulations'). The Services procured through this tender process represent an integration of a number of services which are currently commissioned and funded by: Avon and Somerset Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, BNSSG ICB, Bristol City Council and NHS England. The current Services are due to expire on 31st March 2023. The new contract will run for six years, from 1st April 2023. The longer timeframe will ensure greater stability and consistency in therapeutic provision in Avon & Somerset. The specification was informed by a recent health needs assessment (HNA) of therapeutic provision in the South West for people who have experienced sexual assault and abuse. This service will provide (or enable access to) a range of evidence based, trauma-informed therapeutic interventions for adults and children of all genders who have experienced sexual violence and abuse.
