Tender description
Derby and Derbyshire Clinical Commissioning Group (DDCCG) (referred to as the Commissioner) is inviting suitably qualified and experienced providers to express interest in delivering the Service(s), by responding to this opportunity as required and described in this document, and within the published tender. NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands CSU (AGCSU) is acting as an agent for and on behalf of the Commissioner and is supporting the procurement process. The purpose of the Psychiatric Intensive Care Service is to provide high quality holistic care in a safe and therapeutic setting for service users in the most acute and vulnerable stage of illness. It is not for long term care. To ensure care is contracted to meet this demand DDCCG wish to procure a block contract agreement for the provision of care and support for 9 Males (Lot 1) and 4 Females (Lot 2) for an initial period of 2 years (commencing from 1st February 2022 to 31st January 2024) with an option to extend for up to a maximum of a further 23 months (until 31st December 2025). It is accepted that with fluctuating demand there may be times when additional service provision is required above the block contract agreements for both Lot 1 - Males and Lot 2 - Females. As such DDCCG wish to enter into a Spot-purchase (Lot 3) contract agreement where individual placements can be called-off against agreed terms and conditions. The Spot - purchase arrangement is for an initial period of 2 years (commencing from 1st November 2021 to 31st October 2023) with an option to extend for up to a maximum of a further 23 months (until 30th September 2025). Lot 38607: Lot 1 - Male PICU Services Qualification DDCCG wish to procure a block contract agreement for the provision of care and support for 9 Males for an initial period of 2 years (commencing from 1st February 2022 to 31st January 2024) with an option to extend for up to a maximum of a further 23 months (until 31st December 2025). Bidders only need to complete Lot 1 Qualification and Technical questions if they are bidding for Male block beds. Lot 38609: Lot 2 - Female PICU Services Qualification DDCCG wish to procure a block contract agreement for the provision of care and support for 4 Females for an initial period of 2 years (commencing from 1st February 2022 to 31st January 2024) with an option to extend for up to a maximum of a further 23 months (until 31st December 2025). Bidders only need to complete Lot 2 Qualification and Technical questions if they are bidding for Female block beds. Lot 38610: Lot 3 - Spot Purchase PICU Services Qualification With fluctuating demand there may be times when additional service provision is required above the block contract agreements. Lot 38658: Qualification Questions DDCCG wish to procure PICU services across Derbyshire for Male block beds, Female block beds and additional capacity Spot purchase beds for a duration of 2 years with an option to extend for up to a further 23 months. Bidders are asked to complete the qualification and technical questions and then any lot specific questions for the Lot/s they are interested in delivering. All bidders must complete the qualification and technical questions (regardless of the number of Lots they are bidding for) as well as each lot specific set of questions. Lot 38659: Technical Questions DDCCG wish to procure PICU services across Derbyshire for Male block beds, Female block beds and additional capacity Spot purchase beds for a duration of 2 years with an option to extend for up to a further 23 months.
