Tender description

Introduction and Information about the Framework Client The Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth (DCEDIY) has responsibility for policy, legislation and services in respect of children and young people. The Department’s mission is to enhance the lives of children, young people, adults, families, and communities, recognising diversity and promoting equality of opportunity. Since June 2020, a number of new functions transferred to the Department, increasing its responsibility to include integration and equality with responsibility for specialist community-based disability services due to transfer shortly from the Department of Health. The Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth consists of seven divisions listed below. The divisions consist of multiple business units (52) which process varying amounts of personal data. • Child Policy and Tusla Governance Division • Early Learning and Care and School-Age Childcare Division • Corporate and Business Support Division • Adoption, Mother and Baby Homes and Research Division • International Protection Integration and Equality Division • Disability Division • Ukraine Programme Office The Goods and Services Required Expertise in data protection is required for the purpose of supporting the Department’s data protection compliance obligations. The particular requirement for expertise relates to a specific project to review and update the Department’s Record of Processing Activities in the context of the Department’s expanded remit and responsibilities. Engagement and liaison with all of the Department’s business units and the Department’s Data Protection Officer will be required in the delivery of the service. The service shall be delivered by a combination of remotely and on-site at the Department’s offices as may be appropriate to business needs. Further details can be found in the RFT document.
