Outsourced Planned and Emergency Rail Replacement Management Services for XC Trains Limited (CrossCountry)

Tender description

XC Trains Limited (XC) will be conducting a private tender for the provision of outsourced planned and emergency rail replacement management services. XC defines rail replacement services as the movement of rail customers and employees by either coach, bus or taxi for planned and emergency train service disruption(s) and for movement of train crew to facilitate the train service. The CrossCountry network is the most extensive rail franchise in Britain, calling at more than 100 stations. We serve 7 of the 10 largest UK cities with 7 routes radiating from our central hub in Birmingham. XC will be seeking pricing options for the following: - A minimum 4-year contract, with an end date of October 2027 (subject to termination rights) The Rail Replacement Contract will contain provisions that make it clear it can be transferred to a successor operator of the XC franchise.
