Award of Theatre Lighting - Coltness HS

NLC Coltness HS is looking to a install a lighting rig and technical facilities in one of our drama classrooms so that we can fully implement the drama curriculum in the school. In the school’s drama studio, we currently have only basic lighting facilities to employ in the teaching and delivery of the drama curriculum. This is hindering our drama curriculum delivery. We require a dedicated lighting rig to facilitate both the teaching of acting drama and the introduction of the technical aspects of the drama curriculum, so that pupils can have the opportunity to experience he full drama curriculum in the Broad General Education (BGE) and Senior phase (SQA examinations and assessments). Lighting is required for National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher practical drama examinations (acting element’s ) and there is a dedicated technical drama course which are currently unable to offer for study for our pupils.
