Provision of Digital Magazines for the Libraries West Consortium (LWC) and Plymouth City Council

Tender description

This contract will enable BCP Library Service to continue to offer a digital magazine service to existing and potential library members. This is now an important part of the library offer, particularly as provision of hard copy magazines has been reduced in recent years. In the 12 months to the end of August 2022, a total of 43,543 digital magazines where checked out by our library members. This will enable BCP Library Service to continue to provide a single shared service in partnership with other library authorities in the SW region. By sharing the purchase between 8 authorities, the combined buying power allows us to offer access to a wider range of titles and reduced annual support costs than would be possible as a single authority.
