iDecide Phase3 + - Oversight

NHS England would like to commission an external oversight provider to successfully embed iDecide decision making and consent tool in an additional 20 maternity units as part of the phase 3 implementation. iDecide has been developed as there is not currently a decision-making tool for maternity-related decisions that is fit for purpose for both service users and clinicians. The iDecide tool has been coproduced for use by healthcare professionals and birthing women and people as well as their partners during childbirth, which results in informed decision-making about next steps during labour. It is proposed that, subject to the funding and approvals being in place, iDecide Phase 3 will lead to iDecide Phase 4 which will involve full roll out of iDecide across all digital system suppliers in all maternity units.
