Summary of the work There is a requirement for a data analyst to work with the DCPP team in developing a coherent supplier assurance data repository from which key stakeholder reports can be produced; identify and recover missing data and where possible, using other data sources. Latest start date Monday 12 December 2022 Who Speclialist Work With DCPP Team Data Team Audit Team Resilient by Design Project Team What Specialists Work On Support the Cyber Supply Chain Security Lead Data Analyst in developing a coherent supplier assurance data repository from which key stakeholder reports can be produced; identify and recover missing data and where possible, using other data sources; assist in the conversion of supplier and project audit reports from Word to Excel and work to develop a replacement solution; assist in reporting interim process statistics to SLT. Skills & Experience • Provide evidence and experience of working for similar requirements within large organisations or government functions. (12%) • Provide evidence of experience and knowledge working with power BI. (12%) • Provide evidence and experience to support skills with Data processing and manipulation. (12%) • Provide evidence and experience of working with Excel to process large volumes of data. (12%) • Provide evidence to support a high level of attention to detail and Problem Solving. (12%) Nice to Haves • Provide evidence of Previous experience working within the Ministry of Defence or a similar organisation. • Has proven experience with providing Data Analysts in large organisations or government functions. Work Location RAF Wyton with occasional travel to London or Corsham. Working Arrangments Your primary location will be RAF Wyton, with limited remote working when specific tasks allow. Occasional travel from Wyton to London or Corsham will be required (approximately once a month). Security Clearance Active SC clearance is required by the start date of the contract, this will not be sponsored by the MOD. Additional T&Cs "The submitted day rate should include any expected travel costs to and from RAF Wyton as the main place of work. T&S will be reimburseable when travelling to alternate locations such as London and Corsham. All expenses must be pre-agreed between the parties and must comply with the MOD Travel and Subsistence (T&S) Policy. Off-payroll working rules apply (IR35 in-scope). Any Personal Services Company (PSC) candidates will require to come through an umbrella company. Is it expected that the ‘data repository’ mentioned in the Summary of Work will be hosted in Excel or are other technologies – including SQL – to be evaluated? The individual will be expected to make use of common tooling, such as Excel, as well as visualisation tooling (PowerBI). 7. Please could you expand on the third Essential Experience question: ‘Provide evidence and experience to support skills with Data processing and manipulation’. What does ‘support skills’ mean in this context? (eg skills transfer to existing staff) This question is asking for evidence of experience in Data processing and manipulation. 8. Would it be acceptable to answers questions 4,6 and 7 with examples from more than one previous customer? The authority is content for the previous experience to be from 1 or more customers. 9. Is it possible to have the primary location being ideally home, or even Corsham, other West Country MoD location or combination thereof, with occasional trips to Wyton? The primary location for the requirement will need to be RAF Wyton, with occasional travel to London or MOD Corsham. 10. Will expenses be paid for monthly travel to London / Corsham? T&S will be reimbursable when travelling to alternate locations such as London and Corsham. All expenses must be pre-agreed between the parties and must comply with the MOD Travel and Subsistence (T&S) Policy 11. Can you confirm this is inside IR35? The Authority are asking for attendance on-site Mon-Fri (5 days a week), therefore 100% on site. 13. could you confirm how many days they MUST be on site please? The Authority are asking that individuals for this role should be prepared to be on-site Mon-Fri (5 days a week) for the full duration of the contract.
