Tender description
Cotoneaster species were originally introduced to the UK from Asia in the 19th century as an ornamental garden species. Since then, these species have spread widely across the UK including to important limestone crags, cliffs, slopes and dry grasslands in north Wales. This contract will aim to control non-native cotoneaster species on Prestatyn Hillside. Herbicide spraying will be used to treat cotoneaster onsite. The method of spraying will be dependent on cotoneaster density (see map and work specification). An appropriate dye marker must be used with the herbicide so that the plants treated can easily be identified by NWWT and NRW. PA1 and PA6AW will be required.
