Community Based Climate Adaptation and Mitigation Training for Rural Dublin

Tender description

Fingal LEADER Partnership CLG (FLP) wishes to appoint an independent Company/trainer/facilitator to deliver Community Based Climate Adaptation and Mitigation Training across the Dublin Rural LEADER Operational areas of Fingal, South Dublin (SD), and Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown areas (DLR). It is envisaged that the courses will be delivered to between 6 and 10 villages across the Dublin Rural Leader Operational areas of Fingal, South Dublin and Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown. The course should be delivered in up to 6 separate locations, with an expected overall participation of 50-60 people. Main objectives:  Building awareness and capacity within communities by equipping individuals and representatives from voluntary organisations, clubs and/or businesses in County Dublin with knowledge and skills which they can apply to their activities in order to make their communities/ organisations more climate resilient and environmentally sustainable.  Encouraging community groups and SMEs to apply for LEADER funding under the Environment Theme of forthcoming programmes in order to undertake new climate-action related projects that may emerge from their training.
