Building Control Services - London Borough of Sutton - Soft Market Testing

<p><span style="font-weight: 400">The Council is exploring alternative methods of service delivery for Building Control Services and is seeking interest from experienced Building Control service providers (either private or public sector), who have proven expertise in the delivery of Building Control services for both domestic and business clients, to participate in this soft market testing exercise.&nbsp;</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400">&nbsp;</span>The Council is inviting providers to participate in a soft market testing exercise to establish whether there is a market for the delivery of local authority Building Control services. The Council will use the information gathered during soft market testing to test the expertise and capacity of the current market and inform the final specification. Please review the soft market testing document attached and kindly provide responses to the questions in the document. The Council are also planning online sessions with providers between 3 November 2022 and 11 November 2022. These will be open conversations around the service (including responses provided), and will allow the Council to gain the providers’ perspective on the scope of work. The one to one sessions should last no longer than one hour. All answers to the questionnaire and conversations held at each online soft market testing event will be non-binding. In accordance with Regulation 40 (Preliminary market consultation) of the Public Contract Regulations 2015, the council will respect commercial sensitivity, but may need to share some elements of the market engagement as part of a future procurement. These sessions are not a pre-qualification process to tender for the works as this opportunity, if progressed, will be published after the sessions and will be open to all providers regardless of whether or not they have engaged with the soft market testing.
