<p>Preston City Council views the health and success of the high street and city centre as a strategic priority.&nbsp;</p> <p>The recovery phase of the pandemic requires a careful balance to support the short, medium and long-term &nbsp;success &nbsp;of &nbsp;the &nbsp;city &nbsp;centre &nbsp;while maintaining the lowest possible risk to visitors, employees, and business owners.&nbsp;</p> <p>With the support of the Reopening High Streets Safely Fund and Welcome Back Fund, &nbsp;Preston &nbsp;City &nbsp;Council &nbsp;is &nbsp;committed &nbsp;to &nbsp;working &nbsp;with &nbsp;key partners, as well as engaging with local businesses wherever possible, to support a successful, phased, recovery.&nbsp;</p> <p>This &nbsp;is &nbsp;an &nbsp;opportunity &nbsp;to &nbsp;submit &nbsp;a &nbsp;proposal &nbsp;to &nbsp;install, maintain and remove &nbsp;a showcase, &ldquo;Jubilee&rdquo; themed &nbsp;aerial &nbsp;installation &nbsp;in &nbsp;Preston &nbsp;City &nbsp;Centre, &nbsp;using &nbsp;the &nbsp;catenary infrastructure already in place over the high street.&nbsp;</p> <p><br />This installation should be&nbsp;<br />&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;visually appealing<br />&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;encourage customer dwell time<br />&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;provide an additional reason to visit the city centre<br />&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;maintained and managed throughout its display</p> <p>There is a maximum budget of &pound;50,000 for this project.
