Tender description

Tamworth Borough Council recognises that with people living longer it is essential it uses its resources, assets and influence to encourage and enable local people to incorporate sport and physical activity into their daily regime; to look after their own health and wellbeing, and to live independently for as long as possible. It also recognises that being active is a habit that very often is established during an individual's formative years and that by encouraging children and young people to be active, they will stay active for longer than if they were not given the opportunity whilst younger. As we move out of the immediate Covid-19 emergency, effectively shaping the sport and leisure offer can have a positive impact on preventive health care and health inequalities.
