Chemical Injection & Tree Disease Control Framework

NRW Forest Operations need to procure a service for 4 years, to support Chemical Injection and Tree Disease control throughout Wales. Contractors will be required to help control the spread of diseases such as Phytophthora ramorum, which are subject to statutory control under the Plant Health (Forestry) Order 2005. Stem injection is an option under the Welsh Government management plan for complying with Statutory Plant Health Notices enforced once trees are infected Lot 1: North Wales Contractors will be expected to carry out stem injection of diseased trees at various sites across North Wales in response to Statutory Plant Health Notices issued to new infected areas. Stem injection is vital tool to use as a rapid response biosecurity measure to reduce the spread of the tree disease. Lot 2: South Wales Contractors will be expected to carry out stem injection of diseased trees at various sites across South Wales in response to Statutory Plant Health Notices issued to new infected areas.
