Substance Misuse: Residential Rehabilitation

Tender description

Residential rehabilitation is an important treatment option for people with entrenched drug and alcohol dependency problems, and some who are particularly vulnerable living in the community. It allows people to get a better understanding of their substance use, rethink their dependency behaviour and put in place new behaviours and coping mechanisms that will support them to maintain a drug/alcohol free life after they have finished their rehab programme. Wirral is fortunate to have a facility located within the Local Authority area. This allows for this option to be fully integrated within the Wirral treatment system and allows for people who go into a rehab programme to stay connected with their families. This block contract will increase capacity within the existing service and make access to the programme quicker and simpler in cases where the need of the service user is pressing.
