Kilkenny LEADER Partnership seeks expressions of interest from suitably qualified information and communication technology (ICT) companies, to provide an ICT maintenance contract for all ICT equipment held by KLP, in addition to advice on future needs. This procurement process is a requirement by KLP funders of it as a publicly funded organisation to ensure that its contractor provide evidence of value for money. The ICT service provider will be responsible for ensuring that KLP’s ICT equipment meets, the needs of the company, and is kept in a high working order. KLP will require the following services, as there is significant learning time involved in the setup of systems and familiarisation in operation, this contract will be issued for a period of five years but be subject to an annual review and renewal. KLP would expect that the successful provider in the tender process will be able to arrange a ‘seamless’ hand over with the incumbent already providing these services. The services KLP require are: • IT Support and Maintenance Managed services, this is to include annual review of equipment, and the provision of a report outlining the machines or equipment most at risk for the coming 12 months, to KLP. Trouble shooting of potential issues, prior to them arising in an effort to reduce down time, will be a key role. Should an issue arise the provision of a rapid response, via remote access, or if warranted on site, with a speedy response time, as if equipment such as the server etc. goes down, it can mean that KLP staff have a significant combined down time. It is therefore preferred if the service provider, can be on site, within 30 minutes following a major issue, to deal with the matter. While KLP staff will assist as much as possible, by allowing access to laptops or equipment remotely, the provider should be aware that KLP staff do not have the technical ability to assist them beyond that.
