Fisheries & Angling Improvement Project - River Finn Riparian Works

Tender description

Loughs Agency is proposing to carry out fisheries improvement works along the Riparian zone of the Finn River in the Finn River Catchment, Co. Donegal downstream of the bridge at Glenmore to the confluence with the Corlacky Burn. The Riparian work will involve the installation of fencing, planting of native trees for a riparian buffer zone, installation of 1800mm unigates, stiles and installation of water troughs for livestock using solar powered water pumps to provide a source of drinking water in lieu of access to the river by livestock. The instream works will involve the pinning of woody material and regrading of high and dry gravel and bush trimming at several locations along the length of the river stretch.
