DUD - Asbestos Removal and Ancillary Licensed Scaffolding 2022 - AWARD

Tender description

In order to meet its legal responsibilities under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, it is a requirement of Dudley MBC to procure the services of two specialist contractors to undertake removal of asbestos within Council properties. One Contractor shall cover the North of the Borough (Zone A) and the other shall cover the South of the Borough (Zone B). This contract will predominantly deliver improvements to the Employer's Housing Properties by carrying out Asbestos removals and Ancillary Licensed scaffolding in accordance with the Working at Height Regulations 2005 and the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012. Dudley MBC may also instruct the Contractor to complete any associated works, including the remediation of asbestos contamination or containing materials and associated works, which shall include enclosing, protection, encapsulation, removal of hazardous waste (asbestos), assisting and liaising with Analysts undertaking air monitoring and site assessment activities, and the provision of emergency and/or out of hours call out service for Asbestos Removal Operatives or Licensed Scaffolding Operatives.
