The Provision of a Passenger Lift Audit and Consultation Service

Tender description

Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council ("the Council") wishes to procure a consultant ("the Contractor") to provide an lift auditing and consultancy service (together "the Services") to council owned property throughout the Dudley Borough. The Contractor will provide specialist Lift Safety advice; to provide a high quality, technical consultancy service; to liaise with HMT project leads and Building Control in relation to lift strategies and building design considerations; to attend meetings with the Competent lift contractors, on request, to monitor progress and targets, quality of work and help manage any issues identified; to undertake quality control of life Service Reports and thorough inspections; to advise DMBC on current and forthcoming regulation, guidance and best practice; to provide advice pertaining to the procurement and subsequent management of DMBC's Lift Installation and Maintenance Contractor, including but not limited to sitting on the Tender Evaluation Panel, if requested; and to provide an emergency/out of hours service.
