<p>Redbridge is seeking to develop a new overarching Natural Capital Strategy designed to meet the needs of evolving environmental policy in a holistic manner. Consultants will need to undertake a natural capital assessment, conduct a gap analysis, produce specific actions relating to biodiversity, geodiversity, climate regulation, community gardening/ allotments, nature conservation, blue and green infrastructure plan, and development of urban greening factor(s). The strategy will be part of strategic plan-making in Redbridge and will be support policy formulation for the updated Redbridge Local Plan up to 2040. The evidence needs to be robust and methodology should follow-best practice for Local Plan examination. Nature-based solutions business cases will need to be developed for strategic decision making. The consultant will be expected to provide data, deliverables such as mapping in a suitable electronic format and must meet accessibility guidelines. To meet the Council's aims for better equality, diversity and inclusion, consultants must participate in required community engagement and consultation.
