Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) - Mechanical and Electrical Services

You are invited by Acivico (Design, Construction and Facilities Management) Limited to apply to join this Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for the procurement of Mechanical and Electrical Services, to support new and existing client accounts in the West Midlands Region, when such opportunities become available. Where the DPS is considered the most appropriate route to market, all suppliers/contractors who are registered on this DPS (Stage 1 of the procurement process) will be invited to bid for work through Further Competitions (Stage 2 of the procurement process). Work will only be awarded through Further Competitions (Mini Competitions). There is no provision for a Direct Award under a DPS. It is anticipated that the annual value of work awarded through this DPS will be in the region of four million pounds sterling per annum. Further details about the DPS is given in Section 3 of Document 1.    The deadline for submissions for Stage 1 is 12 noon on Monday 17 October 2022. Lot Category 1: General Mechanical and Electrical Services The requirement in this category is for a single maintenance contractor. The scope of services will include all of those defined under Categories 2 and 3 and any other specialist mechanical and electrical systems, plant or equipment associated with the buildings infrastructure. Lot Category 2: General Mechanical Services The requirement in this category is for a single maintenance contractor. The scope of services extends to all mechanical plant, systems and equipment associated with the buildings infrastructure and may include some or all of those defined under Categories 4 to 7 below. Lot Category 3: General Electrical Services The requirement in this category is for a single maintenance contractor. The scope of services extends to all electrical plant, systems and equipment associated with the buildings infrastructure and may include all of those defined under Categories 8 to 12 below. Lot Category 4: Heating and Plumbing Engineers Scope: All domestic and commercial heating and plumbing installations, systems, plant or equipment including town gas, LPG, oil and electrically fired boilers and appliances and associated systems. Lot Category 5: Refrigeration Services Installation, maintenance, repair and replacement of: Centralised packaged chiller systems, heat pump systems, split DX and fan coil systems, compressors, condensors, evaporators, cold rooms, refrigerators and freezers, water cooling equipment, ice makers, refrigerant distribution systems, portable air-conditioning hire and installation. Lot Category 6: Automatic Doors, Gates and Barriers (Pedestrian and Vehicle) Scope: Automatic and Manual - doors, sliding or swing doors and gates, turnstiles, revolving doors, pedestrian and vehicle barriers, roller shutters, rising bollards, high security doors, vehicle access ramps, pay stations and vehicle charging points. Lot Category 7: Safe Access Systems Scope: Permanently installed suspended access systems such as building maintenance units (BMUs), cradle systems, monorails, travelling gantries and ladders; eyebolts, safe wire and fall arrest systems. This does not include temporary or mobile access systems such as scaffolds, towers, MEWPs, cherry pickers etc where the contractor is responsible for the provision, use and maintenance of such equipment for their own use. Lot Category 8: Lightning Protection and Earthing Systems Scope: Permanently installed lightning protection and earth electrode installations. Lot Category 9: Power Generation and UPS Systems Scope: Mains standby power generatorsUninterruptable power supplies and battery systemsCombined Heat & Power systemsSolar Photovoltaic systemsWind Turbines Lot Category 10: Building management and Control Systems Scope: Building Management Systems (BMS), Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS) and HVAC Control Panels including all head end control stations, communications infrastructure, outstations, software, sensors, transducers, actuators, controllers, timers, optimisers, compensators, lamps, meters, alarms, wiring and containment. Lot Category 11: Security Systems Scope: Security alarms, access control, CCTV and video surveillance systems. Lot Category 12: Communication Systems Scope: Public Address systems, Voice Alarm Systems, Intercom's, television and telecommunications systems, call / alert systems, induction loop systems, pager systems and similar communication systems.
