Europarc 1, 2 and 20 and 5M Bus Services

Tender description

EQUANs (Formerly known as ENGIE Services Ltd) on behalf of North East Lincolnshire Council is seeking tenders from suitably qualified operators of public bus services to award a contract for the Europarc 1, 2 and 20 bus service, which runs between Cleethorpes, Grimsby and Europarc Business Park and the 5M bus service which runs from Immingham to Stallingborough. Europarc is located on the western edge of the Grimsby urban area approximately 4km from Grimsby Town Centre. It was created in 1997 as a major high quality business park of regional significance. It has developed incrementally and successfully since that time. However, due to its out of town location, residents without private transport are reliant on the current bus service to access employment at the location. The 5M bus service currently operates from Immingham County Hotel, to CATCH and Millennium Organic Chemicals and allows local people to access work, training and education. Lot 1: Lot 1 1,2 and 20 Bus Service Service 1, 2 & 20 must be registered with the Traffic Commissioner as a locally registered bus service. The service provides a vital link from Cleethorpes, Grimsby and Europarc Business Park, which had a number of factories and business centres. The 1, 2 and 20 Europarc bus service currently runs Monday to Saturday from 5:10am to 10:45pm. The 1 and 2 route includes Victor Street, Grimsby Town Centre, Lord Street, Victoria Street South / Corporation Road, Gilbey Road, Europarc and Wybers Wood and the 20 service provides early morning and late evening connections from Cleethorpes via Corporation Road through to Europarc. The minimum contract period is one year with options also being proposed for three years plus a possible extension for 12 months and four years with two possible further extensions of 12 months. The final option chosen will be determined on available funding. Lot 2: Lot 2 - 5M Bus Service The 5M bus service provides a vital link the CATCH Training centre which is a not-for-profit, technical training organisation for the process, energy, engineering and renewables industries, operating throughout the Yorkshire & Humber regions and beyond. Specialising in Mechanical, Electrical, Process and Health & Safety training. The 5M bus service currently runs Monday to Saturday (early morning and late afternoon trips only). The 5M service currently runs from Immingham County Hotel, CATCH Training Centre/ Kiln Lane, Laporte Road and Queens Road. The minimum contract period is one year with options also being proposed for three years plus a possible extension for 12 months and four years with two possible further extensions of 12 months.
