Tender description

Supply and maintenance of proprietary software licensed and supplied by Oracle. Provision of one year agreement for Oracle Technical Support Licenses Under Regulation Reg 6(1)(b)(ii) of the Procurement (Scotland) Regulations 2016, a contracting authority may award a contract without competition based on the following justification: Competition is absent for technical reasons (only if it is not caused by artificial narrowing down of the parameters of the procurement and no reasonable alternative or substitute exists). This software is embedded within the IT application estate and management information systems, so it is necessary for the day-to-day operations of the University. The educational Oracle site license and maintenance is exclusively available to the Higher Education sector through Oracle.
