****TENDER CANCELLED, NOT AWARDED**** The University of Sheffield is out to tender on behalf of the Department of Estates and Facilities Management for refurbishment of Portobello Rd and Broad Lane WC's. The project comprises the refurbishment of WC areas throughout two buildings within the University of Sheffield's campus: Broad Lane Building, Broad Lane, Sheffield S1 4BT, and Portobello Centre, 1 Mappin St, Sheffield S1 4DT. The aim of the project is to upgrade existing WC facilities within these buildings to meet modern standards, as part of a wider scheme focusing on the refurbishment of all WCs within the University's engineering departments. The proposed works are to comprise the following: •M&E works to be carried out in accordance with A&P specifications. To include isolation of water supply and M&E services, and the removal and disposal of existing light fittings and hand dryers. •Strip-out and disposal of existing sanitary ware, including vanity units, IPS paneling, cubicles, basins, urinals, toilets, hand dryers and all other associated fixtures, fittings and pipework. •The careful removal and disposal of floor tiles, wall tiles and suspended ceilings. •The partial removal and disposal of solid masonry walls. •Making good and levelling of all disturbed surfaces associated with the strip-out. •The installation of new sanitary ware including vanity units, IPS paneling, cubicles, basins, urinals, toilets, hand dryers and all other associated fixtures, fittings and pipework. All M&E components are to be installed in accordance with A&P specifications. •The installation of new vinyl flooring, vinyl coved skirting and suspended ceilings, and thorough redecoration. To include the construction of new bulkheads, boxings, plasterboard partitions and tiled splash backs where specified. *Please note the above list is not exhaustive. Site visits for suppliers are to planned to provide an opportunity for tenderer's to further ascertain the nature of the site, access thereto and all local conditions and restrictions likely to affect the execution of the Works.
