Tender description

The MoD intend to run a competition for the provision of a Defence Discount Scheme. Provision of this service will be on the basis that there is a NIL cost to MoD for the Discount Scheme Service, and returns of % profits to MoD in the form of a gains-hare payment will be passed on to the four Service Welfare Central Funds. Lot 1: The provision of the Defence Discount Scheme, to provide discounts, both online and retail, to Armed Forces personnel and Civil Servants. The provider would have to ensure that they could provide to: Serving armed forces (regular and reservist) HM armed forces Veterans MOD Civilians (except contractors) Spouse/Partner of Serving Personnel Cadet Forces Bereaved Family Member War/service widow(er) NATO Personnel As a minimum, the Scheme must include the provision of an internet website and mobile device application, which may be complemented by other initiatives proposed by the Contractor, and approved by MOD, such as the use of monthly email newsletters and social networking sites.
