Fintown Pedestrian Linkage and Associated Minor Works Contract 2022

Tender description

Proposal to upgrade the road surface, the road drainage and the footpath between the existing speed limits and incorporating the junction to the R252. The purpose of this scheme is to apply traffic calming measures to reduce speed through the village, improve safety and improve the quality of the hardscape environment of Fintown with the addition of some trees/planting, public lighting, improved carparking and signage. The scope of the works involves everything that is contained within Volume A - Works Requirements Drawings and Specifications. As a guide, the project comprises, but is not limited to: • Setting up of site office; • Traffic Management to maintain traffic over the scheme; • Site Clearance involving general site clearance; • Earthworks; • Cold Milling; • Pavement Inlay of approx. 1.4km; • Pavement reconstruction for localised sections of the scheme; • Upgrading & widening of existing footpaths; • Provision of new footpaths; • Drainage Works; • Installation of public lighting; • Miscellaneous accommodation works; • Other ancillary works; • Any other works as described or inferred on the works requirement drawings and specification
