Tender description
Transport for London (TfL) Surface Transport currently has in place contracts for supply, installation and maintenance services for bus stops, poster frames and other associated onstreet infrastructure, expiring 31 December 2023. The main purpose of this Prior Information Notice (PIN) is to notify the market of a forthcoming opportunity and advise of an upcoming Industry Day in relation to a new tendering opportunity in relation to bus stops and shelters supply, install and repair activities. The contract subject to this PIN will be formed of two lots split by geographical area. Suppliers may bid for both lots but can be awarded a maximum of one lot. A subsequent PIN in relation to a separate tendering opportunity for bus stops and shelters (cleaning including publicity posting), which may include, but will not be limited to cyclic cleaning, publicity posting and graffiti removal, is likely to be published in October 2022. Lot 1: North and Central London Area The requirements of the new contract(s) which are subject to this PIN may include, but will not be limited to: • Supply and installation of new bus shelters, bus stops, and advertising units. • Removal, relocation and modification to existing bus stops and shelters. • Maintenance of bus stops and shelters. • Painting of bus shelters and other ancillary equipment. • General design services. • Production of manufacturing drawings and structural calculations. • Use of TfL systems, including viewing asset information and associated records, creation/updating of maintenance orders, creation/pricing/completion of works orders, recording of safety incidents and near misses and other standing data updates as specified by TfL. • Provision of electrical test/inspection certificates, electrical connections, disconnections and transfers. TfL will hold an Industry Day relating to this contract in mid August 2022. Further details will be provided to all parties who express an interest by 8 August 2022 via TfL’s ProContract procurement portal: https://procontract.due-north.com/Register. The aim of this Industry Day is to provide suppliers with further details relating to TfL’s objectives, intended procurement and delivery model, and answer initial questions surrounding the contracts’ requirements. The Industry Day will be held virtually and will be recorded and made available for those who cannot attend. TfL will manage the process in an open and transparent manner, therefore participation or non-participation in this Industry Day will not disadvantage or affect any supplier’s ability to participate in any future procurement process that may be initiated. Suppliers wishing to attend the Industry Day are invited to register their interest via ProContract. In registering their interest, suppliers should confirm their full company name, the company registration number and provide a single point of contact. This PIN does not formally signify the beginning of a procurement process and does not constitute commitment to undertake a procurement exercise until the Contract Notice is issued. Lot 2: South London Area The requirements of the new contract(s) which are subject to this PIN may include, but will not be limited to: • Supply and installation of new bus shelters, bus stops, and advertising units.
