The Scope for the Phase 3B Landfill Capping and Engineered Bund Lining Works is associated with the installation of an engineered bund lining system on the eastern boundary of Phase 3B cell and the deployment of permanent cap lining system on the Phase 3B area of Restenneth Landfill Site Works Scope Permanent works for the installation of a landfill capping system on Phase 3B and a lining system on Phase 3B Engineered Bund, as follows;  The Contractor shall prepare the surfaces ready to accept the lining system as required by the Project Manager / Site Supervisor.  Associated works on Phase 3B Capping Works: o Expose and prepare edge of existing capping and basal lining systems at tie-in locations. To include for excavation of existing restoration soils o Deployment of 1mm HDPE geomembrane, fusion welded, above the Regulating Layer o Extrusion welding of 1mm textured HDPE Geomembrane to existing lining systems o Pipe boot surround details on existing leachate and gas infrastructure o Deployment of drainage composite above the 1mm textured HDPE geomembrane o Deploy of temporary sandbag ballast to secure the works prior to earthwork contractor mobilisation  Associated Works on Phase 3B Engineered Bund: o Expose and prepare edge of existing basal liner at tie-in location. To include for excavation of existing waste material o Deployment of geosynthetic clay liner (GCL) above prepared engineered bund o Deployment of 2.0m HDPE geomembrane liner above geosynthetic clay liner o Deployment of protection geotextile above 2.0mm HDPE geomembrane o Deploy sandbag ballast to secure the works prior to earthwork contractor mobilisation
