Tender description

Mayo Education Centre requires the provision of a sustainable, healthy, balanced and nutritious sandwiches, a light lunch and a full lunch with desert service option, to its clientele at rates covered by funding for such to be provided to the centre clientele when required. The items are to be prepared off site and delivered and setup on site, ready to eat (RTE). Our caretaker will serve the food and complete clean-up afterwards. A high quality, flexible and responsive service is required combined with continuous improvement and innovation from September to July annually. MEC has visibility of future service provision requirements at a maximum timeframe of one to three months in advance. The nature of business of Mayo Education Centre is dynamic and fluid. The impact of such fluidity has an impact upon the level of catering required on a day-to-day basis, where the service provision may not be required daily. There are occasions and time-periods throughout the year when the requirement for catering services diminishes or ceases to exist. Examples of such time-periods include, but are not limited to; school holidays, public holidays and other “quiet periods”. This fluidity and movement in demand for catering services is an integral part of the tender. Mayo Education Centre will not pay for such periods of diminished, low or in-activity and no compensation for such inactivity is available. The successful tenderer will receive as much notice as is reasonably possible prior to such periods of diminished, low or in-activity. From time to time, last minute changes may have to be made to the number of lunches or a change of mind of a specific meal. Flexibility and those changes that may be required should be accommodated and logistically, this contract may suit a service provider close by to facilitate any last-minute requirement.
