Ursuline Secondary School Thurles Woodwork Dust Extract Emergency Works

Tender description

The scope of the works includes the following: a) Supply and installation of new centralised dust extraction system, including extract fan, bag filter unit, dust collection bin, and clean air recirculation duct with summer / winter damper. b) Supply and installation of new extract ducts, recirculation ducts and diffusers, new duct drops and blast gates, with flexible connections to the woodworking equipment. c) Supply and installation of local dust extract units with articulated swing arms and HEPA filter for the fine sanders. d) Supply and installation of ceiling suspended room recirculation dust filtration units. e) Associated alterations to the mechanical and electrical services f) Complete strip out demolitions and alterations to the layout g) Associated general builder works including, new concrete equipment plinth, rain canopy over the external plant, renewal of the flooring to the woodwork preparation room and painting and redecoration. h) Testing, commissioning and certification of the new dust extract systems and associated mechanical and electrical services. i) Maintenance of the new installations during the 12 months defects period. The appointed Contractor shall supply all labour, materials, equipment and engineering services, and perform all works necessary to install the complete, tested, commissioned, and operational dust extract systems in accordance with the Specification and Drawings.
