Tenders are sought for the supply of a Microcreds Discovery Platform for the Irish Universities Association. The Contracting Authority intends to award a contract for the Development, commissioning and support of a Microcreds Platform for the Irish Universities Platform (IUA). The Contracting Authority intends to award a contract for the Development, commissioning and support of a Microcreds Platform for the Irish Universities Platform (IUA). MicroCreds is a 5-year project (2020-2025) led by the Irish Universities Association (IUA) in partnership with seven IUA universities, funded under the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science’s Human Capital Initiative Pillar 3 Innovation and Agility, with capital drawn from the National Training Fund. IUA project partner universities are collaborating to develop, pilot and evaluate the building blocks required for a transformation in lifelong and life-wide learning through micro-credentials. A key project deliverable is the design, maintenance and support services of a digital Discovery Platform (MicroCreds Platform) for accredited micro-credentials. The on-line platform will drive awareness of, and support learner access to micro-credentials and stacked micro-credential pathways. The platform will showcase the micro-credentials offerings from 7 partner universities. Platform users will pass from the MicroCreds platform to individual university platforms for application or for further information. Data from the MicroCreds platform will be shared with EUROPASS to provide a catalogue of micro-credentials from the seven Irish partner universities.
